Just missed the semi-finals - AC Münster at the WiWi Cup 2025

Last Wednesday, the annual AlumniUM WiWi-Cup brought together academic institutions and students for an exciting day of football and community.

Just like last year, our institute joined forces with the Institut für Unternehmensrechnung und -besteuerung (IUB), the Institut für Rechnungslegung and Wirtschaftsprüfung (IRW) as team AC Münster.
After a strong group stage performance with three wins and two draws, our team narrowly missed the semifinals, falling 2:1 in a close quarterfinal match against the eventual champions, Münsteraner Börsenparkett e. V. (MBP).

New information page for the Master in Business Administration - Major Accounting

The Accounting Center at the University of Münster is pleased to announce the launch of a new information page for the Master's degree programme in Business Administration with a specialisation in Accounting.

This newly designed website offers potential students detailed information about the structure and content of the programme, the possibilities for specialisation, the options for an (integrated) semester abroad, the application process and career prospects after graduation.

The awarded course Corporate Restructuring & Transformation kicks off for the second time

Our new bachelor course "Corporate Restructuring & Transformation" has been awarded the Teaching Award 2024 for excellence in teaching within the bachelor program Business Administration. This recognition comes from the Student Council of Business Administration and Economics and reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education that resonates with our students. We are deeply grateful for this recognition and extend our heartfelt thanks to all the students who voted and supported our curriculum.

Successful visit for MAC at the 22nd ACMAR

Last week our team attended the 22nd Annual Conference for Management Accounting Research (ACMAR) at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar.

As usual, the two days were packed with interesting paper presentations, insightful and current keynotes, and overall a great opportunity to connect with fellow researchers in management accounting from all across over in a perfectly organized and friendly atmosphere by our wonderful hosts.
