Research

In research, we want to make a contribution to the scientific development of knowledge in fields at the intersection of management and accounting. We are oriented to the international scientific community in management accounting and neighbored fields as well as corporate practice dealing with challenges of strategy implementation, management control, and performance management.

We work together with partners from numerous renowned international universities and companies. Our objective is to conduct research - recognized internationally by publishing in top journals (Key publications) and nationally by publishing in outlets targeting managers (Practice-oriented publications). Our guiding principle is that research should be both rigor and relevant for corporate practice and society in line with our faculty’s mission statement (School of Business and Economics). Therefore, our research approaches and findings are also strongly embedded in our teaching, allowing our students to be prepared for tomorrow’s managerial challenges.
