  Our team focuses on research, education, and interactions with corporate practice in management accounting and control, strategy implementation, organizational alignment, and data-driven performance measurement.

  Within one of Germany's leading faculties of business and economics, we aim to combine rigor and relevance in both research and teaching in alignment with our school’s mission statement. We are convinced that relevant research should be rigorously reviewed within the academic community, made available to the interested public, and accessible to corporate decision-makers. In this manner, we strive to make our research results visible in internationally renowned journals and practice-oriented magazines.

  Since research leads our teaching agenda, we put our focus on analytical and empirical methods in order to allow our students at all levels to understand and conduct empirical research and to develop structured solutions to new problems. To foster exchanges with corporate practice, we regularly invite decision-makers from corporate practice to present and discuss ideas and concepts in our lectures and seminars. We also see this exchange as an important opportunity for our students to interact and get in touch with a variety of firms from industry and top management consulting.

  Our daily work is characterized by mutual trust and collegiality combined with a high sense of performance and responsibility for self-initiative.
