Together with co-authors from Switzerland and the USA, Prof. Artz has recently published a new research article "The effect of target transparency on managers' target setting decisions" in the journal "Accounting, Organizations and Society". "Accounting, Organizations and Society" is one of the six best journals in our field worldwide.
In the summer semester of 2024, the Institute for Management Accounting & Control is offering a practical seminar on the topic of Excel.
The module will take place full-day over two days in April (25.04, 26.04).

Das Modul wird ganztägig an fünf Freitagen im Zeitraum April bis Juni stattfinden (12.04, 19.04, 03.05, 10.05, 07.06.2024).
At the end of January, we celebrated the successful defense of the dissertation of Florian Droese, who became the second person to receive his PhD from our institute! As is tradition at our institute, Florian received his personalized doctoral cap and the traditional gown after the graduation ceremony.
As a diversified international biotech company, QIAGEN faces a variety of challenges when it comes to analyzing profitability. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Joachim Esser, Florian Hampe, and Christian Fangmeyer from QIAGEN in our Controlling lecture. They introduced our Bachelor students to this important topic.

We're proud to announce that the team of the University of Münster, coached by our institute, excelled at the 42nd John Molson MBA International Case Competition, bringing home the prestigious Concordia Cup. This case competition is the biggest and one of the most esteemed in the world. Following last year's success, where our team remained undefeated and won their division, this marks our second win in three years.
