In mid-December, our colleague Christoph Domnick participated in the New Zealand Finance Meeting 2025 in Queenstown, New Zealand. As part of the conference, he presented his current research paper “Mind the Gap: Gender Discrimination in Loan Pricing Around the World”, a collaborative project with Nadja Günster and Stefanie Kleimeier (Maastricht University). Alongside the intensive academic program, Christoph also took the opportunity to explore New Zealand’s breathtaking natural landscape.

EUROFIDAI-ESSEC Paris December Meeting
On December 18, 2025, our colleagues Jan Harren and Constantin Schneider attended the EUROFIDAI-ESSEC Paris December Finance Meeting in Paris. Hosted by EUROFIDAI and ESSEC Business School at the Pullman Paris Montparnasse Hotel, the conference is among the most selective finance conferences worldwide.
New Funding Period Approved for Research Group FOR 5230
The German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved a second four-year
funding period for the research group FOR 5230 "Financial Markets and
Frictions - An Intermediary Asset Pricing Approach." The
extension of the joint project is the result of an excellent
evaluation of the first phase (2022-2025). Among the applicants is
Prof. Dr. Nicole Branger from the Finance Center Münster.
The aim of the research group is to analyze price formation in financial markets from the
perspective of financial intermediaries – and thus to question traditional

In mid-December, our colleague Constantin Schneider attended the 2025 Financial Management Association (FMA) Asia/Pacific Conference in Taipei, Taiwan. During the conference, Constantin presented his latest research paper titled "Signals in the Noise: Global Valuation Effects of Dividends and Share Repurchases." Annual Meeting of the Society for Judment and Decision Making
At the end of November, our colleague Jonas Backhus attended the annual meeting of the Society for Judgment and Decision Making (SJDM) in Denver.
In addition to inspiring presentations and workshops, the conference also provided valuable feedback on the presented project (shared work with Thomas Langer, Hannes Mohrschladt, and Edona Selimaj), and there was plenty of time to enjoy the city’s cultural highlights - including visits to the Denver Art Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum, and a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.
