The school's Advisory Board acts in a consultative and advisory position to the school with the aim to inform and further strengthen the engagement between the School of Business and Economics (SBE) and businesses, economy, politics and society at large. Following the school’s slogan “We SBE – combining the best”, the board members share their professional experience to contribute to the school’s strategic development through an ongoing pipeline of ideas, knowledge and advice. The members of the Advisory Board provide ideas, expertise and advice with respect to the operation of the school, its educational programs and research initiatives. The board will support the schools mission with respect to continuous improvement, innovation, engagement and impact. It will specifically reflect current and future needs of the corporate world and society at large.
SBE’s Advisory Board is made up of distinguished leaders and representatives from the corporate sector and society at large. In line with the school’s tradition and mission - as well as the three pillars of its international AACSB accreditation (innovation, (community) engagement, and impact) - SBE Advisory Board members are active in a variety of fields, such as industry, politics, energy and transportation economics, media, consulting, banking and insurance as well as start-ups and entrepreneurship.
The Advisory Board meets at least twice a year. Its members have been nominated by the centers and reflect different areas of expertise and diverse disciplinary orientations. They are appointed by the school’s faculty council for a period of three years and can be re-elected.
