Dr. Christian Böing

Dr. Christian Böing, born 1971, is active as a supervisory board member, advisory board member and independent consultant for various companies (including MeinAuto Group AG, Munich). In particular, he advises private equity companies on M&A projects, invests as a co-investor and in each case takes on an advisory and formative role as a senior advisor on the supervisory boards of these portfolio companies. Until 2020, Böing was Chairman of the Board of STRATO AG and Deputy Chairman of 1&1 IONOS. Prior to that, he headed up telegate AG as General Manager Media and was a member of the Management Board. From 2008 to 2011 he was Head of International Product Management Hosting for 1&1 Internet AG. Before that Böing held various management positions at Vodafone D2 GmbH. The business graduate began his career as a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Heribert Meffert, at the University of Münster, where he wrote his thesis in the field of marketing. After this he worked as a management consultant at BBDO Consulting.
