Course Description

Participants in this seminar deal with varying, current topics concerning management accounting and control, usually originating from the field of research of our Institute. Students pick a topic and conduct their own research on this topic. The results of your research are first concluded in writing your seminar thesis and subsequently presented to all participants of the course. During the seminar, students acquire relevant skills for writing their master theses at our Institute. They review the literature, apply suitable methodological instruments, write a scientific report and defend their arguments in a critical scientific discussion. In this process, they are supported by an assigned advisor from our Institute and will take part in complementary presentation training. Having passed this module, students are able to analyze theoretical questions profoundly and to identify and solve practical problems in a differentiated way.
