After the trip to Frankfurt a few weeks ago, the second Finest in Finance company event of the summer term 2024 took place in Cologne on April 30th, 2024. Following the internal semester kick-off and the welcoming and introduction of the new members, the group set off together by train to the beautiful office of RSM Ebner Stolz located directly at the riverside.

Visit at Alte Leipziger-Hallesche

On April 16 and 17, the members of the Finest in Finance program visited the Alte Leipziger-Hallesche, based in Oberursel, as the first event of the summer semester 2024, which was also the first event of the FiF program with an overnight stay in a hotel.
Last places for Socially Responsible Investing

This summer semester 2024 the Chair of Sustainable Finance led by Prof. Dr. Nadja Guenster offers again the class Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). The class presents a unique opportunity for master students to explore how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors are measured and incorporated into modern investment strategies.

Research Cluster

Last week, finance researchers from Hannover and Nijmegen spent two exiting days at the Finance Center Münster to discuss behavioral and experimental finance research. The meeting was organized by Judith C. Schneider, Sven Nolte, and Hannes Mohrschladt to foster the exchange of research insights, generate new research ideas, and develop a new research network in the domain of “Information Processing in Financial Markets”. Further meetings are planned to strengthen the connection between the three universities and to further enhance research in behavioral finance.
Skiseminar 2023/24 in the Pitztal

In mid-March, the traditional ski seminar of the Finance Center took place in the beautiful Pitztal in Austria. During the day, participants took to the slopes of the Pitztal Glacier, while in the evenings, the students presented their seminar papers. At the end of the seminar, there was also a lecture by our practice partner, zeb. Such trips always prove to be excellent opportunities for networking, offering an enriching experience that extends far beyond mere academic exchange.

The exam review for the exam Derivatives I from the winter semester 2023/24 will take place on Friday, 12.04.2024 from 16:15 - 17:45 in JUR 498.
Registration is not required. You need a valid identification document (student ID or identity card) for participation.
Exam Inspection for the Chair of Sustainable Finance

The exam inspection for the Chair of Sustainable Finance for the Winter Semester 2023/2024 will take place on the 17th of April 2024, in Schloss Room S 055, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The inspection covers the exams “Foundations of Sustainable Finance and Introduction to Advanced Finance".
