Exam inspections at the Chair of Banking

The inspection of the exams "Financial Intermediation I" (Master) and “Introduction to Business Administration” (Bachelor) of the Chair of Banking for the winter term 2023/2024 will take place on April, 17th 2024 between 09:00 am and 10:30 am in the room JUR 272.
The inspection is possible without pre-registration.

This summer term the Chair of Sustainable Finance led by Prof. Dr. Nadja Guenster offers again the class Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). The class presents a unique opportunity for master students to explore how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors are measured and incorporated into modern investment strategies.
B Academy Awards

The B Academics Awards, presented for the first time this year, recognize exceptional commitment to sustainability, innovation and leadership. We are pleased to announce that Prof. Nadja Guenster and her three co-authors Ine Paeleman (University of Antwerp), Tom Vanacker (Ghent University) and Ana Siqueira (William Paterson University), have won this year's B Academics Award for the best publication of the year for "The Consequences of Financial Leverage: Certified B Corporations' Advantages Compared to Common Commercial Firms".
Team-building event as part of the Finest in Finance program

At the end of the 2023/24 winter semester, the members of Finest in Finance met for a team-building event away from the subject-specific content. To mark the occasion, the members played an escape room in three groups last Friday. Of course, there was a little internal competition to see which team could leave the room the quickest. However, the focus was on having fun. After just over an hour of riddling, solving puzzles and trying things out, the pleasant end to the semester finished for some members with a cold drink together in Münster's city center.

On January 18th, 2024, members of the Finest in Finance program participated in a workshop with the European consulting firm d-fine. The event began with an insightful introduction to d-fine, highlighting its collaborative corporate culture and the company’s flexible job models.
Visit of zeb's headquarter as part of the Finest in Finance program

On January 12th, 2024, members of the Finest in Finance program visited zeb's headquarters in Münster. The evening began with an introduction to zeb, focusing on its role in the corporate and investment banking sector as a leading consulting firm in the area of financial services.
Exploration of REMONDIS' headquartersas part of the Finest in Finance Program

On January 9th, 2024, the members of the Finest in Finance program visited the REMONDIS headquarters in Lünen as their first event of the new year. After an initial welcome from the M&A team, the students had the opportunity to take part in an exciting guided tour of the "Lippewerk", the largest recycling center in Europe. In the afternoon, the participants worked on an M&A buy-side case study and gained an in-depth insight into the day-to-day work of M&A analysts at REMONDIS.
