This year's summer seminar trip took 30 FCM students, faculty members and professors to the picturesque island of Krk. For six days, the participants enjoyed the best Croatian weather and took part in exciting seminar lectures in addition to the diverse leisure program. The students were able to demonstrate their skills in the defense of their seminar papers as well as in the subsequent discussions. The topics covered a broad spectrum of finance: from machine learning to wisdom of crowds to corporate takeovers, everything was represented.

Case study with DBMC
within the Finest in Finance program
On July 5th, the students of the Finest in Finance program had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with Deutsche Bank Management Consulting (DBMC) on-site at the premises of the University of Münster. The workshop on "Structured Problem Solving: Struggling M&A Business" was organized by Jonathan Manthei, an alumni of the FiF program and graduate of the Finance Masters at WWU, and Christian Samulowitz, a graduate of the University of Münster.
Tutorial in preparation for a scientific thesis
On Friday, Jul. 14 2023, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (c.t.), "Tutorial on Preparing for a Scientific Thesis" will be held in room JUR 372. The course is designed to help students prepare for their upcoming bachelor or master thesis at FCM. The lecture notes can be downloaded from the corresponding Learnweb-Kurs.

EBWL, INV&FIN, GdBWL exam inspection summer term 2023
The exam inspection for "Einführung in die Betriebswirtschaftslehre," "Investition & Finanzierung," and "Grundlagen der Betriebswirtschaftslehre" from the summer term will take place on Tuesday, 10.10.2023 from 08:00-10:00 a.m. in room JUR498. Students need a valid identification document (student ID or ID card) to participate.
Advancement award from the University Society Münster
This year, the advancement award of the Universitätsgesellschaft Münster e. V. goes in equal parts to the communications scientist Prof. Dr. Lena Frischlich and to Dr. Hannes Mohrschladt from the Finance Center Münster. Every year, the university society honors young scientists for their excellent research achievements. Dr. Mohrschladt received the award last Monday for his outstanding research on biases in information processing and their impact on financial markets. Read more here.
