The Finance Center's first Women in Finance event took place at the end of May. The half-day event was aimed specifically at female students from the Business Administration Bachelor's and Finance Master's programs with an interest in finance. Together they were able to network with each other as well as with the invited speakers and take part in exciting workshops and presentations.

The day started with an inspiring workshop on "Female Empowerment" by coach Katrin Seifarth. Afterwards, our female researchers gave a presentation on the topic of "Being a woman in financial research" and provided valuable insights into their everyday professional lives. This was followed by two exciting presentations on the topic of " Being a woman in the world of finance", given by Angela Schepers, Ira Weber and Suyatha Klöcker-Bari from NRW.BANK as well as Marilen Jahnke and Ina Hock from finanzinformatik.

The event concluded with a get-together where participants were able to network with our guests and employees.
