The exam inspection for "Einführung in die Betriebswirtschaftslehre," "Investition & Finanzierung," and "Grundlagen der Betriebswirtschaftslehre" from the summer term will take place on Tuesday, 10.10.2023 from 08:00-10:00 a.m. in room JUR498. Students need a valid identification document (student ID or ID card) to participate.
Advancement award from the University Society Münster

This year, the advancement award of the Universitätsgesellschaft Münster e. V. goes in equal parts to the communications scientist Prof. Dr. Lena Frischlich and to Dr. Hannes Mohrschladt from the Finance Center Münster. Every year, the university society honors young scientists for their excellent research achievements. Dr. Mohrschladt received the award last Monday for his outstanding research on biases in information processing and their impact on financial markets. Read more here.

On June 13th, the members of the Finest in Finance program had the opportunity to visit the new PwC office in Düsseldorf and participate in their fourth workshop concerning the topic of Financial Due Diligence.

On May 17th, the students of the Finest in Finance program had the privilege of participating in their third case study at Ebner Stolz in Cologne, focusing on Distressed Mergers & Acquisitions.
ifk-semester lectures 2023 and Awarding of the “Ludwig Mülhaupt-Preis”

This year's semester lectures of the Chair of Banking were held under the title "Künstliche Intelligenz in Kreditinstituten" on May 8, 2023 in Münster. Due to the short-notice cancellation of the first speaker, the lectures this time were not exclusively focused on practice, but were supplemented on the chair side by Dr. Johannes Kriebel, who spontaneously stepped in. The two other speakers, Dr. Andreas Totok (Finanz Informatik Solutions Plus GmbH) and Christoph Rabenseifer (Deutsche Bank AG), then contributed their expert knowledge on the use of AI in practice.
Case study with zeb

After the trip to Cologne a while ago, the second FiF corporate event of the semester took place right on our doorstep, at the zeb tower in Münster. Following the internal semester kick-off and the welcoming of the new FiF members, the group set off together by bike to the zeb office.
Course Announcement Socially Responsible Investing

This summer term, the Chair of Sustainable Finance, Prof. Dr. Nadja Guenster, once again offers the course Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). The course presents a unique opportunity for masters students to explore how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors are measured and incorporated into modern investment strategies.
Case study with Simon-Kucher

Last Tuesday, our members of the Finest in Finance program visited the global consultancy firm Simon-Kucher in Cologne. The day started with a warm welcome by Steffen Ulitzka and his staff, followed by the introduction to the topic "The return of interest rates: banks on the way to new earnings excellence". With the help of an exciting practical case, the participants then worked in groups to develop a growth strategy for the deposit business of a German bank and subsequently presented the results in plenary session.
