Seminar Bachelor: Principles of Entrepreneurship (Business Informatic Systems)

Format Principles of Entrepreneurship (PoE) will take place in the first term of SoSe 2024.

Lecture: Thursdays 8am-12pm

Exercise: Tuesdays 14-16

Seminar: Kick-Off 9.4.2024

 

The event will count as an in-depth module (VM) in SoSe 2024. The registration for the event is done via the central allocation of the in-depth modules. A separate registration via our chair or similar is not necessary. The exam will take place in the early exam period.

Content

The in-depth module provides an introduction to the topic of entrepreneurship. The learning content includes the basics of entrepreneurship with regard to entrepreneurial decisions, the creation of business models and the recognition of opportunities and risks. Students learn how to think and act entrepreneurially in order to successfully implement ideas and innovation processes. In addition, students work on a current issue of a regional startup within the framework of an individual written paper. The results are presented and defended in the plenum.

  • understand the relevance of customer needs for new product development
  • gain hands-on experience by working with a regional startup
  • learn how to write an independent scientific paper and defend it in the context of a discussion
Examination  Lecture: Exam (3 CP)
Seminar: Preparation of the seminar paper as well as presentation, defense and discussion of the seminar paper (6 CP)
Attendance Attendance is strongly recommended to enhance learning.
