How Spotify’s bets shape its business model

From podcasts to price changes and layoffs: Spotify has made a series of big moves in recent years. In an interactive session, Martin Artz walked our new students through how these decisions flow into Spotify’s cost and revenue structures, and the reasoning behind them. The lecture is part of the new onboarding module in our revamped B.Sc. in Business Administration, where professors from each discipline introduce first-year students to the core ideas of their field.

As every year, the lecture will be complemented by a practitioner talk to connect theory with practice. In four weeks, we look forward to welcoming Hannes Schollenberger, Dr., Head of Group Financial Controlling at Henkel, to Münster.

Many thanks to Thorsten Hennig-Thurau and the MCM team for organizing this series and keeping everything running smoothly. And to our new bachelor’s students: thank you for the lively discussion and welcome to Münster!
