  • Student Assistant (m/f/d)

The Institute of Management Accounting & Control at the University of Münster under the direction of Prof. Dr. Martin Artz is constantly looking for student assistants (approx. 5 hours/week, adjustable).

    What you can expect:

We conduct empirical research on management control, performance management, and strategy implementation with regard to firm transformation, sustainability and entrepreneurship. In these research areas, we strive to improve corporate practice by providing state-of-the-art insights. We are interested in questions such as

    • how firms and employees react to unforeseen changes in the difficulty of targets,
    • to which extent transformations can be considered a driver for firms’ success,
    • how sustainability targets are contributing to a firm’s financial performance, or
    • whether management control systems from start-ups can be successfully implemented in established companies.

We offer all advantages of a young, dynamic and internationally oriented team. We foster your personal development through mentoring and guidance, and challenge you to work and think independently. Your main tasks relate to the Institute’s research, teaching and institute administration. Here, you will support us, for example, through literature research, data collection and analysis, or the creation and maintenance of lecture material.

    What you should offer:

You have successfully demonstrated exceptional achievements and commitment during your previous schooling, vocational training and/or studies.

Further, you can show relevant practical experience, are able to work independently and have a structured and goal-oriented work ethic. Naturally, you have pronounced English language and MS Office skills.

You are interested in our core topics and in empirical research on an international level. You want to work in a team, and to broaden your academic and personal horizon. Finally, you are motivated to familiarize yourself with new topics and tasks.

Kindly submit your application as a single PDF document including your CV, supporting documents and a letter of motivation.
