Dear students,

we would like to draw your attention to our new Bachelor course “Corporate Restructuring & Transformation”, which starts this Thursday, April 11.

The new course by Prof. Dr. Artz covers the topics of strategic restructuring, operational restructuring, transformation and change management. In addition to the theoretical content of the lecture, we have invited several guest speakers to complement the lecture from the practical side. Speakers from the renowned consulting firms AlixPartners, Roland Berger and Deloitte Monitor, which specialize in restructuring and transformation, are invited, as well as high-ranking representatives of the DAX-listed company Covestro and the Managing Director of Stadtwerke Münster, who will talk about the transformation of energy companies.

As part of the 6 ECTS module, groups of up to four students will work on two application-oriented case studies. The first submission on financial analysis and forecasting is due on Monday, April 22. Therefore, it is highly recommended to attend the first lecture. Case groups can be formed in class or via a special Learnweb forum. The first tutorial will be held next week on Friday, April 19.

A 60-minute exam in the early exam phase will conclude the course. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Schneider from the Finance Center Münster will take over with the course on financial restructuring to complement this course.
