Last Wednesday, the traditional faculty-wide soccer cup, the AlumniUM WiWi-Cup, took place at the facilities of 1. FC Gievenbeck. During a suspenseful and close group stage, our Institute’s team claimed the 2^nd place and advanced to the K.O. stage. The team narrowly missed a podium position after losing the semifinal and match for 3^rd place after penalty shootouts.

Despite the disappointment of just missing the podium, our team fought passionately and achieved an impressive 4^th place. With the clear goal of finishing on the podium next year, we are already looking forward to next year’s cup and our team will surely practice penalty shootouts beforehand!
