On 05.07.2022, we were able to win Christian Schäfer, Head of Group Strategy, Communication & Board Staff at Provinzial insurance, as a guest lecturer on the topic "Strategy" for the students of the “Versicherungsmanagement” course. Unfortunately, the planned on-site visit at the insurer could not take place due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, we are pleased that Mr. Schäfer held his lecture at the university, and we all hope that the planned visit at the insurance company can take place again in the following year.

The visit usually takes place at the end of the course, which is held by the Institute of Management Accounting and Control in cooperation with Provinzial and LVM in the summer term. On the one hand, the event aims to teach students about topics in insurance management and, on the other hand, to enable them to meet the two major insurance companies in Muenster. In addition to the weekly lectures held by high-ranking representatives of Provinzial and LVM, a lecture followed by a get-together is held at Provinzial and LVM in alternating years.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Christian Schäfer and Provinzial, as well as to our second corporate partner, LVM, for an again insightful and well-executed course. We are already looking forward to the upcoming course in the next summer term 2023!
