The Accounting major as part of the Master's degree programme in Business Administration of the School of Business an Economics at the University of Münster aims to train highly qualified specialists and future leaders.   My path into the insurance industry "During my Bachelor's and Master's degree programme with a focus on accounting at the University of Münster, I was not only able to acquire sound specialist knowledge in the areas of accounting and controlling, but also gain valuable practical experience as a working student at LVM Versicherung. The flexible programme structure enabled me to combine my studies with practical work in an insurance company. The "Insurance Economics" module helped me to better understand the financial and regulatory challenges of the industry, while the ACM 15 elective module enabled me to take the Finance module "Risk Management in Insurance" and further deepen my expertise in the assessment and management of insurance and financial risks. Today - after starting as a trainee - I am involved in strategic and company-wide issues as an assistant to the Executive Board at LVM Versicherung.
