29.–30. June 2026 | Amsterdam

Two inspiring days of academic exchange are behind us. At the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, we had the pleasure of welcoming researchers from all over the world to the 16th European Conference on Current Research in Taxation.

With a diverse programme covering current issues in tax research – ranging from international corporate taxation and tax policy to ESG and tax compliance, as well as the real economic effects of taxation – the conference provided an excellent platform for the exchange of new ideas and research findings.

A particular highlight were the two keynote speeches by John Gallemore (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and Allison Koester (Georgetown University), whose insights into tax policy and the government's influence on corporate decision-making provided valuable food for thought.

Our sincere thanks go to all speakers, discussants, session chairs, and participants who contributed to the success of the conference through their presentations and engaging discussions.

We are already looking forward to next year's conference!
