After the foundation of the initiative in early 2020, the Finance Class faced new challenges due to significant changes in teaching. Despite these special conditions, the initiative members care about providing the pupils with knowledge on financial issues. Therefore, the initiative transferred its teaching units to an online format which enabled further extending their school cooperation. The members pay particular attention to offer the possibility to raise questions and discuss during the online lessons.
This summer term, we offer you once again, the course, Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). The course presents a unique opportunity for you to explore how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors are measured and incorporated into modern investment strategies. In reviewing responsible investment products around the world, you have the chance to evaluate investment strategies of high-profile asset managers and apply your acquired knowledge on ESG criteria.
Dr. Carina Mössinger and Dr. Philipp Klein receive award of the Stiftung Kapitalmarktforschung für den Finanzstandort Deutschland. The award honors doctoral and post-doctoral theses on issues of capital markets and regulatory supervision, in particular with reference to the securitization market and the Capital Markets Union, and is endowed with 10,000 Euros. In the rewarded theses, Carina Mössinger and Philipp Klein dealt with the consequences of asymmetric information in securitization markets as well as corresponding transparency regulations.
