Note on the Business Development Programme: Enrolment in the module “Go-to-Market and Business Development”

Dear students,

With the winter semester 2025/26, the following changes apply in the Business Development programme. Please review your examination regulations carefully.

What is changing?
Within the module “Go-to-Market and Business Development”, you can enrol in the module “Start-up Management”, which comprises:

  • Lecture “Founding and Scaling Ventures”

  • Tutorial “Applied Business Growth”

The course centres on how young firms can grow systematically; it is practice-oriented and interactive, combining theory- and practice-based lectures, case studies, and guest talks. It covers start-up topics before, during, and after founding, as well as legal and tax aspects; in the subsequent Business Growth tutorial, experienced entrepreneurs coach interdisciplinary teams on their (hypothetical) venture ideas.

Assessment
In addition, the written exam (“Klausur”) must be registered separately.

Who does this apply to?
These rules apply to all students of the Master’s programme in Business Development.
Students under earlier examination regulations in the Master of Business Administration generally continue to study under their existing rules. Questions on transitions and credit recognition are governed by the respective regulations; individual clarification is provided by programme coordination and the examinations office.
