Successful visit for MAC at the ACMAR 2026
Last week the whole MAC team joined the Annual Conference for Management Accounting Research (ACMAR) at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar – one of the key annual meetings of the management accounting research community in Europe.
Ahead of the conference, our doctoral student Jan-Luca Evers participated in the 15th ACMAR Doctoral Colloquium together with nine other doctoral researchers from universities and business schools across Europe.
During the colloquium, participants presented and discussed their empirical research with distinguished faculty members Prof. Pablo Casas-Arce (W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University), Prof. Maximilian Margolin (Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) and Prof. Lukas Löhlein (WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management).
Jan-Luca Evers presented his research project examining the mechanisms through which corporate culture becomes aligned within large, geographically dispersed organizations.
The ACMAR conference offers a valuable platform for presenting research, receiving feedback, and exchanging ideas with colleagues from across the international management accounting community.
During the conference, Prof. Martin Artz served as a discussant for one of the presented papers, offering constructive feedback and reflecting on the paper’s strengths and weaknesses in front of the audience and authors.
We thank the organizers for a great conference and the inspiring academic exchange.
