Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Matthias Hemker, Head of Group Controlling at Schmitz Cargobull in our bachelor’s course “Controlling”.  

In his talk, Matthias connected key concepts from the lecture on cost and contribution margin accounting with their practical application at Schmitz Cargobull. By illustrating how these concepts are used in day-to-day decision-making, he made the theoretical content very tangible for our students and supported them in better understanding the role of controlling in managing a company.
