Henkel guest lecture in bachelor program: Controlling in corporate practice

On Monday, we were pleased to once again welcome Henkel as a corporate partner in our bachelor's course “Business administration in practice: Learning from managers” in the redesigned business administration program. Our new cohort of students was introduced to the fundamentals of what controlling is and to get insights into the controlling practices of an international company.

In an interactive guest lecture, Hannes Schollenberger, Dr., Head of Group Financial Controlling, Anna Thier, Manager IT-Controlling, and Lennart Werner, Manager Controlling Functions, shared insights from their respective roles and career paths, illustrating how controlling supports strategic and operational decision-making at Henkel. By connecting theoretical concepts with concrete examples from their day-to-day work at Henkel, they supported our students to better understand the contribution of the controlling function in corporate practice.

We thank our guests from Henkel for their continued commitment and time at our university. We also thank Thorsten Hennig-Thurau and the team at the Marketing Center Münster for organizing this course and enabling such close links between academia and corporate practice.
