Last Wednesday, the annual AlumniUM WiWi-Cup brought together academic institutions and students for an exciting day of football and community.

Just like last year, our institute joined forces with the Institut für Unternehmensrechnung und -besteuerung (IUB), the Institut für Rechnungslegung and Wirtschaftsprüfung (IRW) as team AC Münster.
After a strong group stage performance with three wins and two draws, our team narrowly missed the semifinals, falling 2:1 in a close quarterfinal match against the eventual champions, Münsteraner Börsenparkett e. V. (MBP).

However, there was reason to celebrate: in the professors vs. mixed students match, the professors team with Martin Artz secured a hard-fought 1:0 victory!
Despite the disappointment of an early exit, the mood quickly lifted at the closing event in the Juridicum courtyard.

A huge thank you to our fantastic teammates and supporters from the IUB, IRW, and our own institute - and a special shoutout to AlumniUM e.V. for organizing such a memorable tournament.
We’re already looking forward to next year – with one clear goal in mind: the gold medal and the cup!
