The John Molson MBA International Case Competition in Montréal, Canada, is an absolute highlight every year. The 44th edition, which took place in January 2026, brought together 30 teams from 12 nations, all working on exciting and highly relevant business cases. More than 750 people were involved in the competition overall, making this event an unforgettable experience.

In our bachelor course “Controlling”, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Marcel Leez, Head of Integrated Bank Management at LBS Landesbausparkasse NordWest, for a guest lecture this Wednesday.
This week, we were pleased to welcome colleagues from SET once again to our master course, “Performance Management & Strategy Execution”.
Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Matthias Hemker, Head of Group Controlling at Schmitz Cargobull in our bachelor’s course “Controlling”.
Yesterday, we held our Christmas gathering with our student assistants. After a joint visit to the Christmas market at the Überwasserkirche for some punch and mulled wine, we continued on to dinner and bowling at Nordstern in the Kreuzviertel. For our many new team members, the evening offered an ideal opportunity to get to know the MAC team and the other assistants in a relaxed setting and to make initial connections.
