The team of Muenster taking it to the semi-finals at the John Molson International Case Competition

Beginning of January, our Chair and the Berens Research Team sent a team of highly motivated students to the John Molson International MBA Case Competition in Montréal, Canada. The University of Muenster was represented by Theresa Humpe, Carolin Krohn, Bastian Kerber, Florian Bunn and Robin Büchter and was supported and coached by Simon Jeurissen and Florian Droese. After a few days of getting to know the province of Quebéc, our team headed to Montréal where the competition took place. The division's draw yielded a challenging group for our team and included teams from Canada, Germany, Brazil and the Netherlands. The Muenster team was able to win all of the cases in the group phase and qualified for the semi-finals as the fourth best team overall out of 36 participating teams. In a close, all german semi-final, the team from Paderborn came out first, leaving our team only as observers for the final. Nevertheless, our team still drew a positive conclusion of their performance, was proud to having proven their skills in an international setting and happy about expanding their personal networks with people from many different universities.
We would like to thank the Chair of Prof. Berens and the coaches Florian and Simon for their support before and during the competition, not only in providing helpful feedback but also for their effort in organizing and accompanying all events!
