Research Exchange at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2026

Recently, our ChanCe team participated in the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting 2026 in Philadelphia, the world's premier gathering of management scholars. Bringing together thousands of researchers from around the world, the conference provided a unique platform to present research, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of management and organizations.

🎤 Throughout the conference, Prof. Dr. Julia Backmann, Beatrice Schuldt, Johannes Hüby, Dr. Matthias Sinnemann, and Letizia Tschetsche contributed to the scientific program with workshops, presentations, symposia, and poster sessions. Their work explored topics including remote work and team effectiveness, the psychological implications of working with AI, modern team arrangements, and organizational change, highlighting the diversity of ChanCe's research on work transformation.

🤝 Beyond the formal program, Prof. Dr. Julia Backmann and Beatrice Schuldt also participated in the Modern Team Arrangements Micro-Community Event. Bringing together researchers working on emerging forms of teamwork, the event provided an informal setting to strengthen existing connections, foster new collaborations, and advance research in this growing field.

🎓 Letizia Tschetsche participated in the CTO Doctoral Consortium, which brought together selected doctoral researchers and senior scholars to discuss ongoing research, receive mentoring and feedback, and explore topics such as publishing, building academic careers, and developing future research agendas. As part of the program, she also presented her doctoral research during the CTO Poster Reception, where she engaged in in-depth discussions and received valuable feedback from fellow researchers and senior scholars.

🌍 We thank the Academy of Management for creating valuable opportunities for scientific exchange, networking, and collaboration, and for bringing together the international management research community.
