Southern Management Association 2025 in South Carolina
Our research assistant Beatrice Schuldt was at the latest Southern Management Association in South Carolina. Here she got the opportunity to present her current research and engage in an exciting exchange 💡
Research 🔍
As part of the “Organizational Behavior Interactive Presentations” Beatrice presented her current work on “Decoding Remote Work Intensity-Intentions: A Configurational Analysis of Conditions Shaping Intentions”. The focus was on presenting the study’s findings and engaging in intense discussion on method application, implications for research, and further improvement for submission.
Networking 🤝
Besides interesting insights, the SMA was also a great opportunity to gain exciting exchanges with inspiring personalities. One highlight of the Conference was the Flying Rabbit Event, where participants had the chance to climb various obstacles and enjoy the autumn weather soaring through the trees of Greenville on the zipline. Other highlights were the improvisational theater, where the audience came up with keywords on which the participants had to react, the Team Trivia, or the SMA Rally. In addition, Beatrice had many exciting conversations with other researchers during short breaks and workshops, gaining new insights.
Engagement 🌟
Besides all the research and networking, Beatrice took the chance to actively support the SMA organization team. She helped pack welcome bags for the participants and set up the decorations for JOM’s 50th birthday. Find some of her impressions in the pictures displayed below.
We would like to thank the entire SMA team for the whole organization and this great event! Besides that, we wish Beatrice to continue to have a great time in Boston, where she is currently visiting the University of Northeastern University with Manuel Vaulont as a visiting researcher. Further information for staying abroad as a visiting researcher will follow soon ✈️
