Publication Spotlight: Team virtuality and innovation: A meta-analysis of the moderating role of team design
Today, we would like to present one of our latest papers, which was recently published in the Journal of Organizational Behaviour: Team virtuality and innovation: A meta-analysis of the moderating role of team design by Matthias Michael Weiss together with our researcher Matthias Felix Sinnemann. 🌟
With the increasing level of team virtuality, the researchers looked at which moderators promote or hinder innovation in a team context. The central question here is: Does team design influence the relationship between team virtuality and team innovation? 🔍
To test this, a meta-analysis was conducted comprising 167 effect sizes from 132 independent samples including a total of 7004 teams. Team composition factors did not show a significant effect, but task design did show a significant effect.💡
