Third Place at UIBCC 2026 in Mexico City

Our  team achieved an excellent 3rd place at the first edition of the UIBCC 2026 in Mexico City, hosted by Universidad Panamericana in cooperation with IPADE Business School.

Over the course of the week, the team took part in a diverse program including networking events, an academic day, a company workshop with Capgemini, and the competition itself. The highlight was an intense 24-hour case, in which participants developed a solution for Vertex, a Mexican eyewear company, before presenting it to an international panel of judges.

In a highly competitive international field, our team advanced to the finals and finished the competition in third place overall. Beyond the result, the week offered valuable opportunities for academic exchange, teamwork under pressure, and intercultural learning. Cultural highlights such as a city tour, Lucha Libre, and a visit to the pyramids made the experience even more memorable.

36th Scotiabank International Case Competition 2026

We are proud to share that the University of Münster participated in the 36th Scotiabank International Case Competition (SICC) hosted by Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario.

Our team — Anabel Burmester, Luke Gellings, Laurenz Treetzen, and Bjarne Beyer — represented Münster with great professionalism, dedication, and team spirit. After six preparation sessions, many of them on weekends, they took on two challenging international business cases and delivered a very strong performance: finishing third in their group in the first case and second in their group in the decisive second case, narrowly missing out on the final round.

Beyond the competition itself, SICC 2026 was a fantastic opportunity for international exchange, personal growth, and the development of important soft skills such as teamwork, adaptability, and communication under pressure. The discussions with judges and fellow participants from around the world made the experience especially valuable.

A big thank you to the organizing team at Ivey Business School and to all participating teams for creating such a professional, inspiring, and welcoming atmosphere.

We are already looking forward to 2027!
