On July 1, 2025, the Finest in Finance program of the University of Münster had the pleasure of visiting Rödl & Partner at their impressive offices in the Kranhaus buildings overlooking the Rhine in Cologne for an in-depth Corporate Finance workshop.

Throughout the day, participants explored the fundamentals and techniques essential for a successful career in M&A, financial due diligence, and business valuation.

The workshop offered a hands-on introduction to the M&A process – from identifying target companies and conducting valuations using methods like Discounted Cash Flow and Multiples, to understanding critical steps in post-merger integration.

In addition to expert-led sessions, attendees applied their knowledge in a case study exercise, gaining practical insights into assessing the financial health of companies and evaluating key investment criteria.

The event concluded with a networking session accompanied by a stunning view over the Rhine and the Cologne skyline, providing space for further discussions and exchange.
