Guest Talk by Prof. Dr. Ralf Wilden at the Centrum für Management
This week, we were delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Ralf Wilden, Founding Co-Director of the Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship Research Centre and Professor of Strategy & Innovation in the Department of Marketing at Macquarie University Sydney, at the Institute for Entrepreneurship. The visit took place as a joint initiative of the Institute for Innovation, Strategy, and Organization and the Institute for Entrepreneurship.
Prof. Wilden's research focuses in particular on innovation, dynamic capabilities, and strategic performance. As part of his visit, he delivered an interactive talk on "Developing Contributions for Leading Journals in Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship." The talk centered on questions such as how to develop a research idea into a genuine scientific contribution, how to identify the right target journal, and how to structure a paper convincingly around its research question, contribution, and methodology.
In addition, Prof. Wilden took time for 1:1 conversations with our PhD students, offering valuable feedback on research ideas, manuscripts, and questions around publishing in journals.
