Format

Corporate Entrepreneurship and Business Development (CE) will take place in the first term of the summer semester 2025.

The first term runs from April 10 to May 23, 2024 (duration: 7 weeks).

Lecture: Thursday, 4:15 - 7:45 pm, Juridicum - J4

Tutorial: Friday, 10:15 am - 1:45 pm, Schlossplatz 46 - H3

All lectures and tutorials will take place in presence. Exceptions will be announced via Learnweb

Content

The lecture Corporate Entrepreneurship provides students with an understanding of the various possibilities and approaches for established companies to act entrepreneurially in order to maintain or regain flexibility and innovative ability. These entrepreneurial activities will be analysed and related to corporate reality.

In addition, we will include exciting guest lectures. Further details will be announced via LearnWeb.

Professional skills

This course enables students to

  • apply entrepreneurial thinking and action in the context of an established corporate structure
  • critically reflect on the relevance, requirements, structures and different methods of corporate entrepreneurship 
  • understand selected concepts such as corporate venturing and strategic renewal
Examination

75% written exam (the exam takes place in the early examination phase; more detailed information can be found on the website of the examination office),
25% case study (consisting of a PowerPoint presentation, presented in a 10-minute video)

Attendance Attendance is strongly recommended to enhance learning success.
