We’re hiring! Student Assistant (f/m/d) at the Institute for Innovation, Strategy, and Organization

The Institute for Innovation, Strategy, and Organization is looking for a Student Assistant (with a completed Bachelor’s degree) starting March 1, 2026, for 8 hours per week.

Your tasks include (among others):

  • Supporting the creation and revision of teaching materials and presentations
  • Contributing to research projects (literature reviews, data analysis, document preparation)
  • General administrative support (e.g., maintaining the website, Learnweb)

The position is initially limited to one year; an extension is intended.

Marika Platz is delighted to be spending the next three months at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA. During her research stay, she will be working on a project focusing on greenwashing. The project centers on the question of how companies report environmental violations—and whether they disclose such violations at all. The project thus makes an important contribution to understanding corporate responsibility and promoting greater sustainability.

Thorsten Schlüter conducted his research on Greenwashing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Thorsten Schlüter looks back on an inspiring research stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA. Last year, he spent two months there contributing to a project on Greenwashing, which he advanced together with Dr. Florian Berg, Prof. Dr. Johann Nils Foege, and Dr. Frederik Maibaum at the MIT Sustainability Initiative. The project focuses on the question of how companies report environmental violations and whether they disclose such information at all. Its aim is to develop a deeper understanding of corporate communication, responsibility, and sustainability.
