On May 28, 2025, the Finest in Finance program of the University of Münster had the pleasure of visiting the office of Provinzial in Münster for an in-depth event on risk management in the insurance sector. The day focused on how insurers assess and navigate risks, particularly those posed by natural catastrophes. Through expert-led presentation and practical group work, the participants developed and evaluated risk models based on real-world scenarios. Working hands-on with case studies provided valuable insights into how risk-based thinking shapes strategic decisions in the insurance industry and highlighted the growing importance of data and adaptability in a world facing increasingly complex threats.
