Women in Finance 2026

Empowering Women in the World of Finance

For the third time, our Women in Finance event brought together female students, academia, and industry for an inspiring afternoon filled with valuable conversations, honest insights, and meaningful connections.

The event kicked off with a workshop by coach Brandi Bridges, "Stop Mansplaining: Setting Boundaries and Communicating Effectively," offering students valuable insights and fresh perspectives.

This was followed by authentic career stories and personal experiences shared by our research associates from the Finance Center together with our guest speakers Jana Gügercin and Ina Hock (Finanz Informatik), Christina Plog (NRW.BANK), and Wencke Rohwedder, Rasheeda Duroshola, and Laura Epping (zeb). They spoke openly about their career paths, the challenges they have encountered, and the lessons they have learned while working in the finance industry.

Their honest reflections once again highlighted the importance of role models, mutual support, and open exchange.

We rounded off the day with a shared dinner at Le Feu, where conversations continued in a relaxed atmosphere and new connections were made.

A heartfelt thank you to all our speakers and participants for making this afternoon so inspiring through your experiences, questions, and contributions. We are already looking forward to our next Women in Finance event!
