American Finance Association Annual Meeting 2026
In early January 2026, our colleagues Christoph Schneider, Jan Harren, and Fiona Höllmann presented their research at the American Finance Association (AFA) Annual Meeting, held as part of the 2026 ASSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Christoph Schneider presented “Arbitraging Labor Markets” (with Minrui Gong and Ernst Maug, University of Mannheim). Mete Kilic presented “The Fed and the Wall Street Put” (with Jan Harren University of Münster, and Zhao Zhang, International Monetary Fund). Fiona Höllmann presented “Does Options Trading Matter for Risk Management? Insights from the 1936 Options Ban on U.S. Futures Markets” (with Elissa Iorgulescu, University of Münster). In addition, Fiona presented the project “Mental Barriers to Investing: Psychological Fixed Costs and Stock Market Participation” (with Elissa Iorgulescu) in the AFA PhD Poster Session. It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and receive valuable feedback.
They also met former FCM PhD student Christoph Meinerding and enjoyed catching up and recalling old times.
