This summer term the Chair of Sustainable Finance led by Prof. Dr. Nadja Guenster offers again the class Socially Responsible Investing (SRI). The class presents a unique opportunity for master students to explore how ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors are measured and incorporated into modern investment strategies. In reviewing responsible investment products around the world, students have the chance to evaluate investment strategies of high-profile asset managers and apply acquired knowledge on ESG criteria.

To teach this class, we have invited Lloyd Kurtz - a leading expert in the field. Lloyd Kurtz is visiting us from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. Before moving to Northwestern University in 2020, he taught classes in Finance, SRI and Corporate Governance at the Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley) and Leavey School of Business (Santa Clara University) for several years. Lloyd Kurtz also serves as faculty co-chair of the Moskowitz Prize research competition and as a member of the steering committee for the Impact & Sustainable Finance Faculty Consortium. As Senior Portfolio Manager at Montecito Bank & Trust and former Head of Social Impact Investment for Wells Fargo Private Bank, Lloyd Kurtz has in addition a tremendous amount of practical experience in the SRI space.
