The Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Münster prepares you for a successful career in many professional fields: banking and finance, human resource management, consulting, auditing, online-marketing, logistics or even for an academic career.

Eight Minor: In addition to the major, students choose a minor, which accounts for one-fifth of the program

The Structure of the Master’s Programme
With your selected combination of major and minor subjects, you will gain 120 credit points within four semesters – 96 credit points in your major and 24 further credit points in your minor subject. The 24 credit points in your minor subject are usually obtained during the first two semesters. The in-depth courses are in the third semester, followed by the Master thesis in the final semester. Major-Minor Combinations
As major and minor subjects can be combined in many different ways, students have ample opportunities to study fields in which they have a particular interest, and they can organise their studies in accordance with their own needs and abilities. At present, students can choose from 31 different combinations.

Minor Accounting
At the Accounting Center Münster (ACM), the in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge you gain will allow you to generate, analyse and verify information in the areas of business taxation, controlling, international corporate
accounting, financial reporting and auditing. The scholars who lecture at the ACM enjoy a high reputation, and the outstanding quality of the courses run by this establishment has been acknowledged by numerous companies. Students minoring in management are taught the theoretical and practical content of strategic business management, personnel management and corporate structural design. In addition to formal-analytical and empirical areas of study, the curriculum strongly focuses on praxis-oriented knowledge.

Instruction at the Marketing Center Münster (MCM) adheres to the concept of market-oriented corporate management. This means that – based on a company’s clientele – products and services must be developed, the brand expanded, and customer relationships cultivated in such a way to ensure the long-term success of a company. As a minor subject, Business Research can be studied in conjunction with any of the four approved major subjects. The minor Business Research serves to equip students with knowledge of state-of-the-art scientific methods and theories and to prepare students for a science-related professional activity or for a possible later doctorate.
In the minor Business Research, all modules of the doctoral program offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics are available for selection. In addition, pre-selected research-oriented master courses can also be taken.
