Technical Skills

The aim of the course is to expand students' personal and social skills.

Contents:

  • Communication: Fundamentals of communication, our basic attitudes and their effects on our interactions, questions, questioning techniques, and listening.
  • Presentation techniques: Forms of presentation (text, graphics, images), designing information carriers, professional use of media
  • Rhetoric: Personal impact, overcoming stage fright, appearing confident and assured, attracting attention, captivating listeners, statements – short speeches – factual presentations.
  • Leadership: Leadership style/behavior in everyday life, task orientation vs. employee orientation, openness and feedback in the workplace.
  • Work and self-organization: Principles of action and design, organizing tasks and planning time, setting goals and priorities.
  • Creativity techniques: The creative process, conditions that promote creativity, using creative methods.

Methodology: Lecture, questioning development, group work, practical exercises

Attendance The assessment is based on regular attendance and active participation in the seminar (and an experience report)
Application and Registration
  • For didactic reasons, the number of participants is limited to 15 participants in each group.
  • It is not possible to switch between groups.
  • Applications can be submitted till September 21, 2025. Please apply here 
  • In order to participate in the event, a binding commitment to the Institute for Marketing is required (after receiving confirmation of a place). Otherwise, the place will be forfeited.
  • After confirmation of admission to the seminar, a binding registration for examination purposes must still be made with the Examination Office!
