Job advertisement: M&A Manager (m/f/x)

Utimaco is an European champion in the cyber security industry with international presence. Backed by strong private equity investors (i.a. EQT and SGT) we follow a buy-and-build-strategy. In this context we have acquired 7 companies within the past 4 years which has been an important driver to our strong revenue growth. To continue this path, we are looking for M&A Manager to join our Corporate Strategy and M&A team.

 

Your tasks:

  • Execution of our buy-and-build-strategy by driving further acquisitions
  • Drive the entire M&A-process: deal-sourcing, quantitative and qualitative evaluation, creation and negotiation of acquisition proposals, management of internal / external due diligence teams, leading of transaction negotiations to Signing / Closing, preparation for PMI-process
  • Manage M&A-funnel in relevant fields for Utimaco
  • Establish network to important external eco-system to ensure continuous deal-flow
  • Prepare analysis, information and materials for Management and Advisory Board decision making
  • Act as go-to-person and interface between different management levels
  • Ensure trustworthy internal and external project management for deal phases as well as preparing Post-Merger-Integration projects
  • Continuously track valuations of key players in the relevant segments for Utimaco
  • Support in preparing Utimaco’s equity story for Capital Markets communication
  • Readiness to do occasional international business trips as required

 

Your profile:

  • >3 years of hands-on corporate transaction experience from venture capital, private equity or Corporate M&A-background
  • Familiar with common approaches for company valuations
  • Understanding of financial mgmt./business investment planning
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Basic knowledge of common legal terms in M&A
  • Experienced in collaborating with internal and external partners, stakeholder and decision-makers
  • Very good verbal & written communication and presentation skills in English/German
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, tasks-driven, ambitious
  • Independent, conscientious and cooperative way of working
  • Strong negotiation skills
