Our team looks at the financial future of the E.ON Group. We steer our mid-term planning, budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation activities. As part of our performance-oriented and highly motivated team you will work independently on challenging tasks with far-reaching implications for the strategic positioning and financial development of E.ON. In this central steering function you will closely cooperate with international stakeholders both in Corporate Headquarters and in E.ON’s Business Units.

 

  • Financial performance analysis of the E.ON Group to enable an effective performance dialogue and give impulses for E.ONs financial agenda
  • Performing forecasts and mid-term planning in close cooperation with the operational units and central functions of the E.ON Group
  • Financial modelling and analysis of strategic plan scenarios
  • Analyse and challenge of financial business plans and investment proposals, not just from an internal perspective against the background of our financial framework and strategy but also with the mindset of a financial investor in the light of market and competitor development
  • Compile insightful analysis to assess the financial performance of our business areas in the context of strategic asset allocation and in terms of investment/participation controlling
  • Derivation and evaluation of recommendations for action and preparation of strategic and operational decision proposals for the E.ON Management
  • Organization, governance and continuous improvement of E.ON’s group-wide process and methods for financial planning, forecasting, target setting and capital allocation
  • Interface to various headquarters finance functions (e.g. Investor Relations, Business Controlling)
  • Working in cross-functional group-wide finance projects
  • Developing smart solutions and advancing digitalisation of our processes and products

 

A convincing background

 

  • Excellent university degree economics or equivalent and relevant professional experience
  • Profund knowledge of KPIs for financial steering (especially P&L, balance-sheet, Cash-flow), controlling processes and methods; Accounting or valuation expertise is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills while keeping the big picture in mind
  • Strong sense of responsibility, "can-do" mentality and results orientation
  • Challenging, pragmatic and open mindset with courage to question existing approaches and break new ground
  • Team player with the ability to build networks
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to to explain complex topics in a simplified manner
  • A high level of commitment, self-motivation and personal drive combined with high willingness to constantly learn and develop
  • High IT affinity as well as experience in the digitalisation of processes and products (e.g. Dashboarding) and in using planning tools & visualisation solutions
  • Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English, German is an advantage
