Announcement: Lecture Series "Sustainable Business Creation and Management"
The Corona crisis has changed life and economies around the world at record speed. Even though the news coverage is currently dominated by pandemic events, other problems, especially in the wake of a smouldering environmental and climate crisis, still remain unsolved. In the current summer semester, the Chair of Microeconomics, esp. Energy and Resource Economics at the WWU, in cooperation with Münster University of Applied Sciences and the REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center, invites you to a public lecture series: The digital event series is dedicated to the topic of "Sustainable business start-up and management". The lecture series will focus on the question of how companies - and especially start-ups - can succeed in combining profitability with socially and environmentally responsible corporate governance. The lecture series builds a bridge between science and practice. The main organisers of the series are Prof. Dr. Andreas Löschel from WWU and Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Grübel from Münster University of Applied Sciences.
Prof. Löschel heads the Smart Energy Virtual Institute in North Rhine-Westphalia and has been chairman of the expert commission for the German government's "Energy of the Future" monitoring process since 2011. He has advised the European Commission, the European Parliament and federal and state ministries on economic policy issues in the field of environmental economics, especially in energy and climate policy.
Andreas Grübel is an honorary professor at Münster University of Applied Sciences and a lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin and the WWU. As an independent consultant, especially for municipal companies and start-ups, he focuses on corporate development and succession as well as digital transformation. Over the past 30 years, he has gained extensive practical experience in dealing with the ESG criteria that are popular today in various management roles and company start-ups.
The organisers are supported by REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center - the central contact point for people interested in starting a business in Münster and the surrounding area.
