Business & Intercultural Communication im WS 2015/2016

Im Wintersemester 2015/2016 findet regelmäßig keine Vorlesung Business & Intercultural Communication statt. Die hier angegebenen Informationen richten sich an Studierende, die im Sommersemester 2015 an der Vorlesung teilgenommen haben, aber keine Seminararbeit geschrieben haben. Im Wintersemester besteht daher nur die Möglichkeit, die Seminararbeit nachzuholen.

Bitte denken Sie daran, sich rechtzeitig während der frühen Anmeldephase beim Prüfungsamt für diese Prüfung anzumelden. Daraufhin ist eine Anmeldung für ein Thema für die zu erstellende Seminararbeit möglich. Details dazu finden Sie weiter unten.

Content

The lecture will take place as part of the Summer School with the Virginia Tech University (USA). During parts of the lecture American exchange students will participate.

  • Introduction to International Business: Multinational Companies, International Trade and Investment
  • Doing Business in the US and Germany
  • Intercultural Problems of International Business
  • Diversity Management
  • Presentation and rhetoric skills
  • Presentations by company representatives

Guest lectures

As part of the lecture, two guest lectures of senior representatives of internationally renowned companies will be held. The exact dates and contents will be announced.

Prerequisites

  • Good English skills

Examination

  • Seminar paper ("Report") in English (no exam) of 4 pages.
  • We will distribute topics related to the lecture's content on which a report has to be written.

Important: Please note that the registration for the report's topic does not substitute the registration at the examination office!!!

Note that there is only a limited number of students allowed per topic, so if one topic already has the maximum number of students working on it, you must choose another topic (first-come-first-serve). Once you have successfully registered for one topic, you are cleared for the respective topic and can start working on it right away. Please note that you will not receive a registration confirmation by e-mail, so please write down your topic.

The report is due latest on 10.03.2016 at 12:00 (noon). Please hand in or send a hardcopy (no e-mail) of the report to the Institute of Accounting and Taxation (room J 381).
