Final Thesis

Bachelor and master theses are supervised by our Institute. We expect that topic proposals are linked to the thematic priority of the Institute and developed by the students on their own.

If you plan to write your master thesis at our Institute, we recommend completing the course “Project Studies” here first. The purpose of the Project Studies is to get to know the techniques of scientific work and to develop an own research question, which can be used for the master thesis afterwards.

If you wish to write a bachelor / master thesis at our institute, please obtain information at the homepage of the examination office about the registration and deregistration periods as well as the formal requirements first. The specifications of the examination office are binding and an application at the examination office is obligatory before writing the thesis.

In general, your participation must be registered at the examination office as well as at our Institute. Therefore, students who are interested in writing a thesis at the Institute of Public Economics I are asked to apply to Mrs. Musiolik via e-mail. Your email should contain your desired period, a current transcript of records and a completed research agenda (to be found below). Afterwards, we will contact you to arrange an appointment for a preliminary talk.
