Teaching at the Institute for Economic and Social History

Teaching at the Institute for Economic and Social History aims primarily– inspite of the subject’s interdisciplinary character – at economics students. However, history students regularly take part in the lectures and seminars.

There are two modules taught at the institute, which consist of the following courses:

Modul for master students: Advanced Quantitative Economic History

  • Seminar: Selected Topics in Quantitative Economic History (Discussion on selected research fields of economic history (e.g. "Monetary policy in the interwar period) with applications of advanced economic theory and econometric methods).
