Organization of the course Mikroökonomik (Microeconomics) in the summer term 2022

Since currently (January 2022) the influence of the pandemic on the Microeconomics course (lectures and classes) in the summer term 2022 cannot be determined, the following regulations apply:

  1. Should the state of the pandemic permit, the course will be offered in the form of in-person lectures, which will be read for four hours per week, namely on Tuesdays, from 16:15 to 17:45 and on Wednesdays, from 10:15 to 11:45. The lectures will start on April 12, 2022 and take place in H1.
  2. The classes will take place as weekly two-hour courses, and are designed to repeat and deepen the lecture materials. Each student can choose from a total of six groups. The following table gives you the days, times, rooms, and tutors for these classes:

The classes will start in the 17th calendar week, 14 days later than the lecture.

  1. All participants are required to register in the Learnweb course and at the examination office (Prüfungsamt). You can find the enrolment key for the Learnweb course here: https://www.wiwi.uni-muenster.de/me/de/aktuelles/354
  2. Should the Corona situation not allow for in-person events, the lecture will be made available in form of discussed slides at the beginning of the summer term. Please work through the slides and use the available textbook literature to consolidate the material. This digital part of the lecture will be supplemented by webinars (Zoom), for which you will receive an invitation in the appropriate time.
  3. Should the lecture be held online, the classes will be also held digitally in form of webinars (Zoom). You will receive an invitation for these webinars in the appropriate time.
  4. Relevant for the exam are the materials covered in both the lecture and the classes. Please note, that transfer questions based on these materials are also possible.
  5. Irrespective of the Covid-19 situation, the exam will be written as a digital LPlus exam. This is necessary due to extensive preparations for the exam on our side, in conjunction with the uncertainty about the pandemic situation at the time of the exam.

 

Organization of the course Geldtheorie (Monetary Theory)  in the summer term 2022

Since currently (January 2022) the influence of the Corona pandemic on the monetary theory course (lectures and classes) in the summer term 2022 cannot be determined, the following regulations apply:

  1. Should the state of the pandemic permit, the course will be offered in the form of in-person lectures, which will be read for four hours per week, namely on Mondays  from 14:15 to 15:45 and from 16:00 to 17:30. The lectures will begin on April 12, 2022 and will conclude mid-term on May 23, 2022. The class will take place from 14:15 to 15:45 on Mondays, beginning June 13, 2022 and ending July 18, 2022.
  2. All participants are required to register in the Learnweb course and at the examination office (Prüfungsamt). You can find the enrolment key for the Learnweb course here: https://www.wiwi.uni-muenster.de/me/de/aktuelles/354 .
  3. Should the Corona situation not allow for in-person events, the lecture will be made available in form of discussed slides at the beginning of the summer term. Please work through the slides and use the available textbook literature to consolidate the material. This digital part of the lecture will be supplemented by webinars (Zoom), for which you will receive an invitation in the appropriate time.
  4. Should the lecture be held online, the classes will be also held digitally in form of webinars (Zoom), during the same time slot as the in-person class (Mondays from June 13, 2022 to July 18, 2022 in the time from 14:15 to 15:45). Your will receive an invitation for these webinars in the appropriate time.
  5. In the case of another online semester, the course is designed for you to work through the lecture materials until mid-June. Starting with the first class on June 13, 2022, you will have time to work through the exercise sheets discussed during each class.
  6. Relevant for the exam are the materials covered in both the lecture and the class. Please note, that transfer questions based on these materials are also possible.
  7. Currently (January 2022), no definite statement can be made about the timing and exact procedure of the exam. We will inform you immediately once decisions have been made in this regard.

 

Organization of the Forschungspraktikums „Empirische Aspekte der Monetären Ökonomie“  (Practical Course in Research,“Empirical Aspects of Monetary Economics”)  in the summer term 2022

Since currently (January 2022) the influence of the Corona pandemic on the practical course in research in the summer term 2022 cannot be determined, the following regulations apply:

  1. Should the state of the pandemic permit, the course will be offered in the form of three in-person sessions on Tuesdays, more specifically on April 12, April 19, and June 21, 2022 in room ULB 202 (Krummer Timpen 5), from 18:15 to 19:45. The first two sessions are lectures; the session in June serves for the presentation and discussion of the research results of each student.
  2. All participants are required to register in the Learnweb course and at the examination office (Prüfungsamt). You can find the enrolment key for the Learnweb course here: https://www.wiwi.uni-muenster.de/me/de/aktuelles/354 .
  3. Should the Corona situation not allow for in-person events, the lecture will be made available in form of discussed slides at the beginning of the summer term. Please work through the slides and use the available textbook literature to consolidate the material. You will find all information about the further procedure of the practical course in research on the slides. The digital part of the lecture will be supplemented by webinars (Zoom), for which you will receive an invitation in the appropriate time.
  4. For the supervision of the practical course in research, please write an e-mail containing your phone number to Prof. Dr. Bohl (martin.bohl@wiwi.uni-muenster.de). Any questions regarding the content of your research can then be discussed via phone.
  5. The deadline for submitting the presentaton slides containing the results of your research is June 20, 2022, 12 p.m. Please email these to Prof. Fr. Bohl (martin.bohl@uni-muenster.de). The session on Tuesday, 21st June 2022 will be used to discuss your results, either in person or in a Zoom conference. Should you prefer an earlier submission and discussion of your results, do not hesitate to ask.
